  • Professional Standards

"Mediation is used to resolve a broad range of conflicts within a variety of settings.

Can Couples Manage their Entire Divorce Without Hiring Attorneys?

YES! It has become much more common. The Colorado Courts have simplified the process for Pro Se couples by designing cour-approved forms to help manage the process. When successful, couples save a tremendous amount of money on legal expenses, retain a greater degree of control in their family, and are generally more satisfied with the result of their agreements. Restructuring the family can be dreadful or successful; it just depends on how the divorce proceedings are handled.

Colorado Mediators & Arbitrators offers the Denver Metropolitan community a choice between mediators and arbitrators when a case is filed. Each side is given three resumes from which to identify a first and second choice. The overlapping named mediator or arbitrator is assigned the case.

Parties tend to value experience differently, with some placing a higher premium on legal knowledge and others valuing practical experience within a given professional field.
